I guess this could be the most controversial of my Categories.

I have seen a number of times the most simple question i.e. Should I carry a PLB (Personal Locater Beason)? On say the Te Araroa Facebook Page turn into the most confusing number of Posts.

This is the most basic of dummies guides as far as the right and wrong way to go about purchasing $5k - $10k worth of equipment. I did make a lot of mistakes, hopefully these reviews will help you avoid my mistakes.
