USB Air Pump

In this edition of My Gear, I take a quick look at my USB Air Pump with Light! 

To tell you the truth I haven’t tried any other pumps as this little unit does exactly what it’s manufacture (FLEXALLGEAR) say it will do.

What comes in the box:

a.       Pump Unit

b.       USB Charging Cable

c.       A number of small fittings that enable the user to fit the unit to various sleeping Mats.

d.       Small Storage Bag

e.       Instructions

Pro's

The Unit inflated my Sleeping Mat in under a minute and does the reverse for packing up.

I was able to inflate and deflate my Sleeping Mat 5 times on a single charge,

Simplicity

Price on eBay, as of today, AU$34.59

Con’s

To be honest the only negatives I came across were;

a.       It is easy to activate the light whilst packing up, hence when you are ready to use the unit it maybe discharged, yes I did this.

b.       Nobody complained, however if this pump was used in a confined space, say a Hut, I have no doubt that you will wake up anybody else that is in close proximity

In conclusion, after a long days walking I would rather be inflating my Sleeping Mat using this little beauty than my aging lungs.
