Trekking Poles / Walking Sticks

CNOC Trekking Poles

My Trekking Poles of choice are the Cork CNOC Trekking Poles, these are my second pair, My first pair, not CNOC, had rubber handles and twist locks on each extension, if price is an issue then this type of pole maybe for you.

The Poles in the picture above have done 500+ km on both Local and a Long Walk (Heysen Trail), and I can honestly say that that they have performed above and beyond my expectations.

Pro's

  • Cork handles eventually mould to your hands

  • Friction Locks

  • Light Weight, carbon Fibre

  • Supply time from the US was extremely quick, 7 days I did pay for express post, depending on what surface you will be using these bad boys on, I would suggest purchasing replacement Tips and Rubbers with your initial order to save money.

Con's

  • Price

Note: Trekking Poles / Walking Sticks and Shelters have a tenuous link, most of the light weight shelters do not come with poles, you use your Trekking Poles for support. If you break one or both of you Trekking Poles you will be using tree limbs to hold your shelter up.
