Day 11 - Blackbridge Camp to Puketi Recreation Centre

Note: Mud and Water

The start of today begins down hill towards the water.

You get to see the River but not the Mud. this sort of walking went on for 3km at varying depths. It went as deep as 4.5ft.

And more water, when is the mud going to start?

At this point we had finished the River and the Mud so we were trying to dry a few things out, look at the Mud on the bottom of my pack. almost forgot, this was the 11 o’clock picture.

After we made the last small River crossing I thought we were going to get some reprieve “Wrong” I’m not sure how many stairs there were but it had to be over 500.

The Hand makes its appearance late in the day, this is the Puketi Bunk House.

I know you understand that these entries are somewhat delayed so I can tell you all I a big tumble In the mud and by the end of the day my pack felt like someone had put some extra weight in it, a few days later and it is history.
