Day 25 Waipu Cove (Zero Day)

Distance Walked: 00km

Date 30 Oct 2022

Hitched 36Km

End of day Trail Marker: 419

Weather: Showers becoming heavier throughout the day

Note: Yes, another Zero Day, this one was more or less forced by the weather.

So after a night of rain the Holiday Park was deserted in the morning, it was also Sunday morning which may have helped people decide to leave.

it was early, however there was a small break in the weather so we broke camp and moved to the TV room. The Hand was eager to stay dry and watch TV.

Todays 11 o’clock photo was taken at the local Cafe as we were trying to stay Dry.

As you can see The Holiday Park quickly got inundated with rain, it was at this time we decided to get a single room cabin and dry out for tomorrows long day.

An interesting cloud formation, it is the same shap as the island it is covering.

Here is a tip for anyone attempting long distance Tramping. These shoes were well and truely broken in before I left for the TA. With all of the Road Walking they have been worn through very quickly. H’m, I think they should have been a little less broken in.

Here is a picture for my wife Sue. This Holiday Park uses our favourite ceramic numbers to number its cabins. These are made in New Zealand.

.

Tomorrow is a long day (29Km) so we are departing at 0600 to try and beat the worst of the weather that is on its way.

To all of my Family and Friends “ I miss you all”

Good Night
