Date 20 & 21 Oct 2022

Hitched 36Km

Trail Covered: 303Km

Weather: Over cast and a little humid

Note: Hit the 300 mark when we kick off tomorrow

The Farm is a operating Dairy Farm therefore you get fresh milk each day.

what a beautiful setting, this weekend there is a Music Festival here (Lubble) a mix of Love and Bubble, no disrespect but I get a feeling that they are trying to replicate Woodstock..

The Hand found the LP Collection.

As close as it gets to an 11 o’clock photo, the forced Zero days really drag on.

So I am sure I mentioned the Lubble Festival yesterday, this is as close as I got to it, these guys & gals partied all night even in the rain.

Day 17 starts here, the owner of the property sent us out through the gate at the bottom right of this picture.

.

So away we went, whilst it wasn’t road walking it was very muddy. Mud appears to be apart of every day here in the Northlands.

Looking back towards The Farm, the part we can see here is for the farm workers.

This is the way ahead for today.

One of the local schools, there are a lot of local Government facilities that have these Totum Poles.

Jerome getting ahead of the game, sorry about the road kill so much road kill.

We came across this cow loose on the side of the road, we did take a detour across the road to get bye.

We get these views randomly through out the day.

We couldn’t figure out what the facility was however they had this awesome art piece.

TThe back of Helena Bay

As we worked our way towards the Bay we spotted this horse way on top of this hill, he was obviously the king of the castle.

Jerome & Nathan just starting to put a snack together whilst we were waiting for our ride to Dave & Alex’s place (Trail Angels)

This is my first panoramic picture, Helena Bay.

This is Dave and Alex’s place, a small gallery totally off the grid.

We set up our tents on the upper level, and another three down below. They also had a couple WWOOF’ers, Willing Workers on Organic Farms. An easy way to get into the country and work your way around.

The Hand had a close look at Alex’s oil panting.

A successful day today, feet feel OK so we will push on to Whananki Holiday Park tomorrow..

Good Night
